For almost four decades, Nordicom Review has provided a dedicated forum for research that contributes to the wider understanding of media, mediated communication and journalism in the Nordic region of Denmark, Finland, Iceland, Norway and Sweden. The journal benefits from a highly qualified readership devoted to media and communication research about, or relevant to, the Nordic countries.
- Open access and online-first publication
Nordicom Review is funded by the Nordic Council of Ministers, which enables us to publish all articles on a non-profit, open-access basis and according to an online-first publication policy. Nordicom Review is published in collaboration with Sciendo, which offers a brand new multi-functional digital publishing platform. (Of course, all articles are also published in printed editions.)
- A SCOPUS indexed title
Nordicom Review is indexed in SCOPUS, which is the dominant indexing service in the social sciences, and has a long-term positive development in terms of various indexing scores. It is also listed as an emerging source in the Clarivate Analytics ESCI. All in all, Nordicom Review is included in over 30 different international and regional indexing and abstracting services.
