Uutismedian liitto, Nyhetsmediernas förbund

Trade association for Finnish newspapers and free newspaper publishers. Up to November 2020, News Media Finland was called the Finnish Newspapers Association (Sanomalehtien Liitto, Tidningarnas förbund). The website provides a wide variety of newspaper statistics. The data include members' publications (all dailies and most non-daily titles). News Media Finland is a member of Finnmedia, the umbrella organization for the media and graphic industries.

WAN-IFRA – International Association for Newspaper and Media Technology

WAN-IFRA, World Association of Newspapers and News Publishers, is a service organisation for the publishing industry worldwide, with currently more than 2000 publishing companies and suppliers to the publishing industry as members.

World DMB Forum

Formerly the World DAB Forum. An international non-governmental organisation, with the objective to co-ordinate the implementation of DMB digital radio services. News, country status, worldwide frequencies, etc.

Worlds of Journalism Study

An academically driven project founded to regularly assess the state of journalism throughout the world. The study aims to help journalism researchers, practitioners, media managers and policy makers better understand the changes that are taking place in the professional orientations of journalists, the conditions and limitations under which journalists operate, and the social functions of journalism. A third wave of the Worlds of Journalism Study, WJS 2021–2023, currently involves researchers from more than 120 countries. The new series of interviews with journalists will focus, among other topics, on journalists’ safety, deteriorating editorial freedom, influences on news production, the impact of technology, and increased precarisation of journalistic labour.
